Andy Welkley – Director Business Development

Andy Welkley joined avVenta in early 2007 in the role of Director of Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Welkley’s early career in marketing was with the Thomson Corporation in the legal publishing division of West Group. In this role, Mr. Welkley held a leadership role in establishing marketing programs to educate consumers about web centric applications, and the electronic search and data access capabilities of legal research products as these products transitioned from book form to various forms of electronic publication. From there, Mr Welkley changed industry focus to brand management and marketing communications in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with recognizable brands such as Rival kitchen appliances, Le Creuset cookware and Screwpull corkscrews and Wine Accessories. In these roles, Mr Welkley led product development efforts, interface with advertising agency partners and the implementation of online and in-store merchandising solutions.

Mr. Welkley holds a BS in Liberal Arts from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
