avVenta Worldwide Launches Global Employee Wellness Challenge

NEW YORK, October 26, 2011 – avVenta Worldwide has launched a challenge to all of its employees dedicated solely to health and wellness.  Each employee has the opportunity to participate in an eight week Fantasy Wellness Challenge. The Fantasy Wellness Challenge has teams competing in five different categories in the areas of exercise and healthy lifestyle choices.  The objective of the company Wellness Challenge is to introduce employees to and educate them on healthy practices. 

Jay Noce, President and Founder of the company, created the avVenta Wellness program.  This program has become a key employee benefit and is now an integral part of the company’s culture.  Any employee located in the US or Costa Rica office locations has access to an onsite Wellness Center, and has the opportunity to schedule an appointment with one of it’s company nutritionists or to participate in one of the many exercise classes offered.  Soon avVenta will offer virtual training where employees can work out together regardless of location.

There is growing evidence that not only do workers need to take better care of their health and wellness but also that companies who sponsor them reap benefits of having a healthier staff.  “We know that our biggest asset is avVenta’s talented workforce and our goal is to make them feel good at their workplace. Thanks to the Wellness program we have increased the productivity of our employees, minimized sick days and absences, and made improvements in our attrition rate” said Fabricio Soto, Vice President Practice Management.

After eight weeks of healthy competition the top three teams will be recognized company-wide for their achievements and for demonstrating the avVenta team spirit. The Fantasy Wellness Challenge marks the end of 2011 Wellness Challenges and sets the bar for 2012 (and beyond) for future wellness programs.
